About Pat

Town of Onondaga Justice candidate Pat Britt has deep roots in the Town of Onondaga, dating back nearly 50 years. He is the oldest of six children and attended St. Ann’s Elementary, graduated from Christian Brothers Academy, and holds degrees from Siena College and Syracuse University College of Law.

Pat has been practicing law since 1995, residing in the Town with his wife Mary Ellen, who is a teacher assistant at Split Rock Elementary School and their two children: Meghan, who is a first-grade teacher at Roberts Elementary School in Syracuse, and Michael, who is a recent graduate of Tampa University.

Pat started his career at McDermott & Britt in 1995, where he became a partner and eventually the sole practitioner (known today as Britt Law Firm). For the last 30 years, he has handled thousands of criminal, traffic, and landlord/tenant matters— vast experience that will be invaluable if he’s elected Town Justice.

Throughout his extensive career, Pat has become well-versed in Town Court operations. He served as a Syracuse City Court Volunteer Arbitrator and is presently part of the Onondaga County Assigned Counsel program. He was formerly a member of the Town of Onondaga Assessment Review Board and is an active member of the Town’s Planning Board and our Republican Committee.

Pat is committed to upholding justice for all Town residents and putting his decades of experience to work as Town Justice.

Pat is a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, Siena College, and Syracuse University College of Law.
